| | I know it's been a long time since I wrote anything, but I've been busy.
Anyway, I have to hand it to MySpace. Every time I feel sick of the single life, and ready to give in and consider trying out an online dating site, all I have to do is go to MySpace and see the ads I get to remind myself that I should avoid any site that resorts to that kind of advertising. Yup I'll stick to meeting girls the old-fashioned way thank you very much. Speaking of girls, today I went to MySpace only to find a message in my inbox, and wouldn't you know it was from a girl who was interested in me! This girl it seems, wants me to fulfill her fantasies, she liked all of my photos on my profile (that's right all 1 of them!), she thinks I'm the man of her dreams (it's amazing that she was able to figure that out from my profile, considering it doesn't say much except that I'm straight, single, and like the show Heroes), and best of all, this girl who was so sure of herself that we'd make the perfect couple, is also from Stevensville, MD, just like me! At this point, I thought (or actually knew) that it was too good to be true, so I went to her profile. I must say this girl is absolutely amazing, not only is she from Stevensville, but she's also from Alabama at the same time! She also has some "spicy" pictures that she can't post to MySpace, so I have to see them at her other site, and guess what, this other site just happens to be a dating site. Yup it all comes back to the low level of advertising that keeps me away from them.
I'm not saying Facebook doesn't have spam too. In fact, Facebook's spam is worse because it comes from my own "friends", people who I (vaguely) know and thought I could trust. This spam of course, comes in the form of application invites. I come on Facebook from time to time to check my friend requests, but instead, all I find is that one of my so-called friends wants to hug me, punch me, turn me into a zombie, or join their brigade of ninja-pirates.
OK, ranting done for today, maybe I should write about something other than things that annoy me next time, but at this rate "next time" could be next year.
